Czy można szczepić kobiety w ciąży?

Podsumowanie

W ciąży można bezpiecznie podawać szczepionki inaktywowane. Zaleca się szczepienie przeciw grypie, przeciw krztuścowi szczepionką przeciw błonicy, tężcowi i krztuścowi, przeciw Covid-19. Inne szczepionki zabite mogą być podawane w szczególnie uzasadnionych sytuacjach narażenia na zakażenie. Kobietom w ciąży nie podaje się szczepionek żywych, tj. szczepionki przeciw odrze, śwince i różyczce (MMR) czy szczepionki przeciw ospie wietrznej.

  • W ciąży można podawać szczepionki inaktywowane (przeciw grypie, przeciw błonicy, tężcowi i krztuścowi, przeciw Covid-19),
  • Inne szczepionki zabite mogą by podawane w szczególnie uzasadnionych sytuacjach narażenia na zakażenie,
  • Kobietom w ciąży nie podaje się szczepionek żywych.

Przed planowaną ciążą w celu ochrony przed bakteryjnymi i wirusowymi infekcjami, groźnymi zarówno dla ciężarnej, jak i płodu czy noworodka, zaleca się szczepienie przeciw: różyczce, odrze, śwince, ospie wietrznej, krztuścowi, wzwB oraz grypie. Kobieta po szczepieniu żywą szczepionką (np. przeciw odrze, śwince i różyczce lub ospie wietrznej) nie powinna zachodzić w ciążę przez okres co najmniej 1 miesiąca.

W okresie karmienia piersią można podawać wszystkie szczepionki inaktywowane (zabite) oraz szczepionki żywe, zalecane do podawania dla osób dorosłych, których nie podano przed okresem ciąży lub w czasie ciąży. Członków rodziny kobiety w ciąży można szczepić szczepionką skojarzoną przeciw odrze, śwince i różyczce, ponieważ żywe, osłabione wirusy zawarte w tej szczepionce nie przenoszą się z osoby szczepionej na innych. Podobnie można szczepić dzieci, których matki są w ciąży przeciw ospie wietrznej. Nie znamy dowodów występowania ryzyka przeniesienia zakażenia na matkę od zaszczepionego dziecka.
